August Wilson's HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED Begins Performances Tonight at Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre's New York Premiere of August Wilson's HOW I LEARNED WHAT I LEARNED begins performances tonight. The production, which is co-conceived with and directed by Todd Kreidler, and in collaboration with and featuring Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson, opens on November 24 and runs through Sunday, December 22 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42ndStreet between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Oliver Butler to Direct World Premiere of Will Eno's THE OPEN HOUSE at Signature Theatre; Performances Begin 2/11

Signature Theatre has announced the World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist Will Eno's new play THE OPEN HOUSE. THE OPEN HOUSE will be directed by Oliver Butler, who is a founding member and co-Artistic Director of The Debate Society. The production runs February 11 through March 23, 2014 with a March 3, 2014 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets will go on sale January 14, 2014. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE's Cole Horibe to Play Bruce Lee in Signature Theatre's KUNG FU

Signature Theatre has announced that Cole Horibe ("So You Think You Can Dance") will play the role of Bruce Lee in the World Premiere of David Henry Hwang's new play KUNG FU, directed by Leigh Silverman. The production runs February 4 through March 16, 2014 with a February 24, 2014 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42ndStreet between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets will go on sale December 3, 2013. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.

Amy Irving Boards Signature Theatre's CHERI; Tickets Now on Sale

Signature Theatre has announced that tickets are now on sale for the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs November 19 through December 22, 2013 with a December 8 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage atThe Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The production will now play its final performance on Sunday, October 20. THE OLD FRIENDS opened to critical acclaim on September 12 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.

Signature Theatre to Continue 'World of the Play' Series with STOP. RESET Panel, 9/28

Signature Theatre is pleased to announce the continuation of its The World of the Play series with a discussion inspired by Regina Taylor'sstop. reset., now playing in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. The panel will take place on Saturday, September 28 at 4:30pm in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre. The event is free and open to the general public. Reservations are not required.

Betty Buckley, Hallie Foote and More Set for Signature Theatre's Premiere of Horton Foote's THE OLD FRIENDS

Signature Theatre has announced a change to the theatre's Legacy Program for the 2013-14 All-Premiere Season: the theatre will produce the World Premiere of Horton Foote's THE OLD FRIENDS, directed by Michael Wilson and featuring Betty Buckley, Hallie Foote and Lois Smith. THE OLD FRIENDS replaces the previously announced EDWARD ALBEE'S LAYING AN EGG, which Signature remains committed to premiering in a future season.

Signature Extends OLD HATS Again, Now Through 6/9

Signature Theatre has announced an additional four-week extension for the world premiere of OLD HATS, created and performed by Tony Award winners Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music by and featuring Nellie McKay, and directed by Tina Landau. This is the fourth extension for the production, which will now play through Sunday, June 9. The production opened on Monday, March 4 on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
