AN EVENING WITH PHYLLIS HYMAN, a world premiere musical the creators of the Broadway bound musical Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical, has added an additional three-performance weekend to the previously announced performances due to popular demand.

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced Chopin Meets Broadway, the unique artistic collaboration of acclaimed vocalist Peisha McPhee and award-winning pianist Sergiu Tuhutziu for two shows only on Today, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at 8:30pm at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood.

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced Chopin Meets Broadway, the unique artistic collaboration of acclaimed vocalist Peisha McPhee and award-winning pianist Sergiu Tuhutziu for two shows only on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at 8:30pm at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. 

Hugh Jackman, George Clooney & More Will Take Part in HOLLYWOOD'S NIGHT UNDER THE STARS, Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander

MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) announced today that George Clooney will host "Hollywood's Night Under The Stars," an evening of musical performances and special presentations celebrating their 95th year of helping those who entertain us.  Matt Bomer, Yvette Nicole Brown, Michael Douglas, Derek Hough, Hugh Jackman, Norm Lewis, Jane Lynch, Johnny Mathis, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Anika Noni Rose, and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also set to appear at the event, which will take place on Saturday, October 1 at the MPTF Wasserman Campus in Woodland Hills, CA.  It is presented by AARP Foundation, American Express®, Delta Air Lines, and Target, with in-kind support from Heineken, Monsieur Marcel, Red Truck, and Sprinkles. 

Tony Award Winner LaChanze set for Trent Armand Kendall Broadway Download 8/24

Rhonda LaChanze Sapp, better known by her stage name LaChanze (Creole: the charmed one), taken from her grandmother, was born in St Augustine, Florida. Grew up in Connecticut, her parents nurtured her love for performing by enrolling her in high schools for the performing arts. After high school, LaChanze studied Drama at Morgan State University, before transferring to the University of the Arts, she studied Theatre and Dance. Her first Summer job was as a tap dancer in the ensemble of out of town tryout of 'Uptown...It's Hot!.' She made her Broadway debut in the same show in 1986.

BWW Review: DREAMGIRLS Reunite Triumphantly to Celebrate 35th Anniversary of the Broadway Show

Not in the least hard to fathom that the Dreamgirls' 35th anniversary concert presented under the auspices of Chris Isaacson Presents Broadway Under the Stars was a sellout. With Sheryl Lee Ralph, Loretta Devine and Jennifer Holliday all headlining, who would not want to be there to marvel at the ageless talent of these amazing Broadway superstars? Directed by Iona Morris, choreographed by Lee Martino and musically directed by Kenneth Crouch, the evening also featured a bevy of other singing and dancing talents such as Frenchie Davis, Matt Zarley and a special fun appearance by Mary Wilson.

LA's Ford Theatres Opens 2016 Season Tonight in Renovated Amphitheatre

Capathia Jenkins Set for Trent Armand Kendall's Broadway Download on 6/29

Capathia Jenkins is a Brooklyn-born actress who most recently starred as 'Medda' in the hit Disney production of Newsies' on Broadway. She made her debut in The Civil War, where she created the role of Harriet Jackson. She starred in the Off-Broadway 2000 revival of Godspell, where she wowed audiences with her stirring rendition of 'Turn Back, O Man'. She returned to Broadway in The Look of Love and was critically acclaimed for her performances of the Bacharach/David hits. Ms. Jenkins then created the roles of 'The Washing Machine' in Caroline, Or Change and 'Frieda May' in Martin Short-Fame becomes me where she sang 'Stop the Show' and brought the house down every night.
