FRESTYLE LOVE SUPREME Returns to LCT3's Clair Tow Theater Tonight

Lincoln Center Theater presents an LCT3 Special Event - Freestyle Love Supreme, the popular live improvised show, will return for an encore engagement at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65th Street). Freestyle Love Supreme will play 4 performances only, tonight, May 1st and tomorrow, May 2nd at 7pm and 9pm.

MOM BABY GOD Comes to New York City, 6/3-7

MOM BABY GOD, Madeline Burrows' one-woman show based on her 2 years undercover at pro-life conferences taps into the smoldering political conflict in the US surrounding reproductive rights and is leaving audiences around the country inspired and galvanized to action. This summer, Smartt Productions is pleased to present MOM BABY GOD as part of New York City's 6th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Broadway's MOTHERS AND SONS to Display AIDS Memorial Quilt at Golden Theatre

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally and starring Tony Award and six-time Emmy Award winner Tyne Daly is proud to announce that portions of The AIDS Memorial Quilt are now on display in the lower lobby of the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), where the critically-acclaimed play currently resides. The Quilt, fittingly, is prominently referenced during the course of the 90-minute play, making its residency inside the theater especially poignant. Audience members of Mothers and Sons are encouraged to view the quilt before or after any performance. The quilt will be on display for the entirety of the run of Mothers and Sons. Nathan Lane Joins Tyne Daly and Terrence McNally for MOTHERS AND SONS Talkback Tonight

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, now playing at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), will hold a special talkback tonight, April 23rd with Terrence McNally and Tyne Daly joined by fellow Tony Award winner Nathan Lane, who previously worked with McNally on Love! Valour! Compassion!; Bad Habits; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams; and the film version of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. The talkback will begin shortly after Wednesday evening's 7pm performance.

2014 Drama League Award Nominations Announced - Shows, Stars & More!

Co-Hosts Judith Light and Christopher Sieber announced the nominations for the 2014 Drama League Awards, including Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The 2014 Drama League Nomination announcement begins the month of celebrations leading up to the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at noon hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

STAGE TUBE: A Look at KC Rep's A LITTLE MORE ALIVE

The world premiere of A Little More Alive began on April 11 and will run until May 11 at Kansas City Rep. A Little More Alive is directed by Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall, Mothers and Sons) and features book, music and lyrics by Nick Blaemire (Glory Days). Jason Gotay, Remy Zaken & Randy Jones to Star in World Premiere of THE ANTHEM Off-Broadway, Begin. 5/20

JJJ Productions in Association with Culture Project and Aaron Grant Theatrical, Inc have announced that the world premiere of THE ANTHEM, an original musical lovingly inspired by the classic Ayn Rand Novella, 'Anthem', with a book by Gary Morgenstein, music by Jonnie Rockwell and lyrics by Erik Ransom will begin previews on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, Off-Broadway at Culture Project's Lynn Redgrave Theatre on 45 Bleecker Street. This musical helmed by Rachel Klein officially opens on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Spiderman's JASON GOTAY, Spring Awakening's REMY ZAKEN and RANDY JONES of The Village People lead a cast of theatrical favorites in this rollicking sci-fi musical, featuring an expansive aerial and circus environment, about a revolt of the young against an evil state.

Broadway's MOTHERS AND SONS Announces Talkback Series with Huffington Post, New $30 Ticket Policy

The new Broadway play Mothers and Sons from 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally has announced today that it will offer a series of post-show talkbacks in conjunction with the Huffington Post Gay Voices on four consecutive Wednesday evenings (4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30) at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). Special guests will include LGBT activist and journalist David Mixner, attorney Roberta Kaplan, Huffington Post Gay Voices deputy editor Curtis M. John McDaniel and Bill Russell to Write Music and Lyrics for BRAVE NEW WORLD Musical

Grammy and Emmy Winner JOHN McDANIEL and Tony Nominee BILL RUSSELL have joined the creative team of BRAVE NEW WORLD: THE MUSICAL, currently in development, as Co-Composer and Lyricist. They join a team that already includes Ben Andron as Book Writer, Jonnie Rockwell as Co-Composer, and Tony Nominated Director, Sheryl Kaller. John McDaniel is also attached as Music Director.

Christopher Durang to Star as Vanya in His Own Play VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE

Playwright Christopher Durang - who won his first Tony Award in 2013 for his comedy VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE on Broadway - will make his debut in the role of Vanya when the play is presented at Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. Main St) in New Hope, PA. From July 17 to August 10, it has been announced by the Playhouse's newly-appointed producing team -- Producing Director Alexander Fraser, Executive Producer Robyn Goodman and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler.
