(mostly)musicals Is UP FOR DEBATE at the E Spot Lounge

Following the success of August's ROAD TRIP, (mostly)musicals will return to the E Spot Lounge on Monday, September 19 with UP FOR DEBATE, the company's 19th entry in a series of themed cabarets. 'It's nearly time for the big election in November, but we wanted to put together a party people could really get behind!' explains producer Amy Francis Schott.

Artisan Center Theater Presents SONGS FROM SHOWS YOU'LL NEVER SEE AT ARTISAN

SONGS FROM SHOWS YOU'LL NEVER SEE AT ARTISAN opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, September 9, 2016 and runs through Saturday, October 8, 2016. The 150 seat Second Stage theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:00pm on Thursdays and Saturdays and 8:00pm on Fridays. Reserved seating tickets are $18.00 for adults, $16.00 for students and seniors, and $9.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at ArtisanCT.com, or by calling the box office at 817-284-1200.

2016-17 Season of Ensembles Kicks Off at Merkin Concert Hall

The 33rd season of the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series, chamber concerts showcasing Musicians from the Orchestra performing classical masterpieces and modern compositions in an intimate setting, will begin on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Merkin Concert Hall.

September's 'Midnight Moment' to Bring TANTRIS to Times Square

In partnership with the Metropolitan Opera and Gallery Met Shorts, Times Square Arts brings Elizabeth Peyton and Kristian Emdal's Tantris (Young Tristan) to Times Square's electronic billboards from 11:57 p.m. to midnight every night in September. This project is a part of Midnight Moment, a monthly presentation by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts. 

TOMBSTONED Late Night at The Pocket

Pocket Sandwich Theatre plays late-night host to a new western spoof, Tombstoned, penned by local writers/actors. The play takes audiences on a trip back in time where Rocky Mountain High takes on a whole new meaning and things aren't always as they appear to be.  From cool Compton cowboys to bawdy brothel babes, this smokin' new hybrid of a show features music, dancing, witty quips, silly stereotypes and a tokin' nod to the current zombie craze.

I DO TODAY to Continue 'Solo Celebration!' at Greenhouse Theater Center

The World Premiere of "I Do Today" will run at the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Ave) Sept. 2 - Oct. 9. Co-produced with The Other Theatre Company, written by Sarah Myers and starring Carin Silkaitis, "I Do Today" will be directed by Greenhouse's Artistic Director Jacob Harvey, making his Chicago directorial debut.   The press opening will be on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
