IRT and Ricochet Collective welcome Jody Flader (The Slug Bearers... at The Vineyard) to the cast of the World Premiere of GORDY CRASHES, by Sam Byron. Directed by Sherri Eden Barber, previews began June 5 at IRT Theater with opening night slated for tonight, June 12. Flader replaces Clea Alsip, who leaves to join the cast of Neil Labute's The Way We Get By with Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski.

Inspired by Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the play was a PlayPenn 2013 semi-finalist and short-listed for both the 24/7 (UK) and the Ronald Duncan Award (UK). Kathryn Rossetter, who appeared on Broadway opposite Dustin Hoffman in Death Of a Salesman and is currently head of the MFA Acting Program at the New School for Drama, will join Adam LeFevre (Broadway's Footloose, Mamma Mia, Guys and Dolls) in the World Premiere of MR. LANDING TAKES A FALL, an absurdist comedy by Sari Caine. Culture Project dives into the summer with the Women Center Stage 2013 Festival, today, July 8 - August 3, 2013 at the newly named Lynn Redgrave Theater (45 Bleecker Street). The month long Festival will feature works written, directed and produced entirely by women, including work by Lynn Redgrave (Shakespeare For My Father), Staceyann Chin (Def Poetry Jam on Broadway), Dael Orlandersmith (Yellowman, Beauty's Daughter), Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Dominique Morriseau (Detroit '67), Leila Buck (In The Crossing), and Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai ('Russell Simmon Presents HBO Def Poetry'), directors Gaye-Taylor Upchurch (Bethany, Harper Regan), Jackson Gay (Collapse) and Nicole A. Watson (2013 Drama League Directing Fellow), poetry composed by Afghan women collected by Guggenheim Fellow Eliza Griswold, and an evening written by girls ages 10-18 from Girl Be Heard, viBe Theater Experience, Urban Word NYC and the Prospect Theater Summer Teen Intensive.
