No...I am not talking about the Tony Awards...although I know where I will be that evening. For the fourth consecutive year the Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University and the Johnny Mercer Foundation in New York will present ?A Celebration of Johnny Mercer.? The weeklong revelry will include workshops, lecture demonstrations and a closing concert featuring Broadway performers Liz Callaway and Capathia Jenkins and other guest artists.

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

As an annual gift to the city, Symphony Space has been presenting its signature music marathons since it opened in 1978. This year Symphony Space samples some of the greatest music from the Great White Way for Wall to Wall Broadway: A Century of Musicals, a twelve-hour celebration of the music of Broadway on May 16 from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m., FREE.
