ANNE FRANK IN THE GAZA STRIP to Hit Planet Connections This June

Israelis and Muslims and Republicans, oh my! ANNE FRANK IN THE GAZA STRIP, written by Monica Bauer, is headed to the 2017 Planet Connection Theatre Festivity, which runs June 12 - July 9, 2017 at The Clemente, 107 Suffolk Street, NYC.

PULP VERITE to Receive Judson Memorial Church Magic Time Reading

Pulp Verite, after being awarded a 2015 Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission (from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute) and being named a 2016 Bay Area Playwrights Festival Finalist, will be read at Judson Memorial Church as part of their 2017 Magic Time reading series on January 18th. 

Cortland Rep Announces Upcoming Fall Events

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing upcoming events for the fall months, most to be held at "CRT Downtown" located at 24 Port Watson Street in historic downtown Cortland. "This is our second year-round season, and we're planning more events than last year, with a wide variety to appeal to all tastes," Producing Artistic Director Kerby Thompson says. "Even though the summer is winding down, we've been keeping busy planning for the fall and winter months.  We're very excited about what is coming next!"

Cast Set for PLAYWRIGHTS FOR A CAUSE Benefit for New Yorkers Against Gun Violence

The annual Playwrights for a Cause will be Sunday, July 24th at 7:30 pm at the Atlantic Theatre (Linda Gross Theater), 336 West 20th Street, NYC 10011. Founded and curated by Glory Kadigan, Playwrights for a Cause is the annual benefit hosted by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. This year the event will benefit this important group - New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.

BWW Review: ONCE Enchants New Haven

Guy meets girl. They make some music. And they either end up together or apart, delighting or devastating their respective audiences. It's just as typical a story as the romance of the Broadway musical (and usually has a similar effect). Well, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's Once is hailed for dashing the typical boy meets girl tale, and its North American tour installment does not seem to do typical either. Magic was made at New Haven's Shubert Theatre last night as the cast of Once took their first bow of the weekend (and received the first of what are likely to become many standing ovations).

ONCE's Shaun Peknic Helms Works by Crystal Skillman and Steve DiUbaldo for LSTFI, Starting Today

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (LSTFI) with The Lee Strasberg Creative Center in collaboration with NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Undergraduate Department of Drama will present two new works by playwrights, Crystal Skillman and Steve DiUbaldo, this year's recipients of The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission, today, December 3, through December 5 and December 10-12 at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in New York City. A gala will follow the December 5 and 12 performances.

Nylon Fusion to Bring HALF MOON BAY to the New Ohio Theatre This October

An aynredenish -- an obsession -- is worse than a disease, say our Yiddish elders. 'Half Moon Bay' by John Jiler is a drama about a prize-winning Manhattan architect whose sudden fixation on a mysterious waitress sabotages his marriage and his career and causes him to abandon his ideals. Its world premiere, directed by Margarett Perry, will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from October 3 to 25 at New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street.

Broadway Vets, Steven Sater & More on Tap for New Ohio Theatre's Fall 2015 Season

 New Ohio Theatre has announced their 2015 fall theater season, which will include world premieres from Page 73, Nylon Fusion, Live Source and Bedlam Theatre. All shows take place at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.
