TeeRico by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Montclair Film, GrassROOTS Community Foundation, the First Congregational Church and Nassan's Place were honored at Vanguard Theater Company's Annual Gala at The Loft in Montclair on November 3, 2018, at 7PM. Honorees and guests celebrated Vanguard's mission of D.R.E.A.M. - Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Awareness and Mentorship.

Harlem9 and Detroit Public Theatre announce their first collaboration supported by the Knight Arts Challenge, an initiative of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.  Since 2011, Harlem9, a collaborative producing organization comprised of a group of Black theater professionals from various backgrounds, has commissioned playwrights of color to tell their stories in the annual 48Hours in...Harlem play festival.

The Cell Presents Workshop Reading Of Sandra A. Daley-Sharif's STRADDLING THE EDGE

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director Kira Simring) in Chelsea, New York City has announced Sandra A. Daley-Sharif's play Straddling the Edge as part of the cell's ongoing residency series. Artistic Director Kira Simring will direct and features Almeria Campbell, Jacqueline Gregg, Nathan Hinton, Justin Jorrell, Travis Raeburn and Robert McKay. Perri Gaffney will read stage directions.

Arts And Education Council Launches Catalyst Conversations

The Arts and Education Council (A&E) is launching a new program this fall for St. Louisans interested in experiencing the arts through a different lens while connecting with others. Catalyst Conversations is a series of casual discussions - some playful, some serious, but all engaging and thought-provoking - in A&E's Catalyst Innovation Lab, a "living room for the arts" on the ground floor of the Centene Center for the Arts.

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust today announced that Pulitzer Prize winner, Suzan-Lori Parks will be presented with the 2018 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award at the 11th Annual 'Mimi' Awards on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Lincoln Center Theatre. The 'Mimi' Awards are presented annually to honor the outstanding artistry and accomplishments of some of the most gifted American playwrights.
