James Gillan (Wicked, Taboo) and Paul Spicer (Avenue Q, The Last 5 Years) will headline the world premiere of the brand new British born musical The 8th Fold in a specially conceived concert staging. Poignantly timed to take place on Remembrance Sunday, The 8th Fold will be performed for one night only at the West End's Duchess Theatre on Sunday 10th November.
The annual London theatre initiative Kids Week was launched today with a special performance at Shakespeare's Globe from a 100-strong children's show choir supported by cast members from top West End shows. The choir was made up of ordinary children crowdsourced especially for the free event led by music theatre company Starling Arts.

Alexander Masters' Stuart: A Life Backwards, written by Jack Thorne and directed by Mark Rosenblatt, will receive its world premiere today, 31 July 2013 at the Underbelly's new Topside venue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before touring to Watford and Sheffield. The show will be designed by Jon Bausor.
The critically heralded all-male Shakespeare's Globe repertory productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III will come to Broadway this fall. The productions, which delighted audiences and broke all box office records in London's West End earlier this year, will open Sunday, November 10 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street), with previews beginning October 15. Rose Theatre Kingston and English Touring Theatre will co-produce a new translation of Henrik Ibsen's classic, Ghosts this autumn. Stephen Unwin, outgoing Artistic Director of the Rose Theatre, will direct his own translation which will premiere at the Rose on the 19 September before touring nationwide to Salisbury, Oxford, Guildford, York, Watford, Malvern and Brighton. Unwin has a long standing connection with Ibsen's work, and this will be the 7th Ibsen play he has directed. This will be the second play translation that Unwin has written, following his highly acclaimed translation of The Lady from the Sea in 2012 at the Rose Theatre.
