The Rochester Community Players opens its 90th season with a production of Shakespeare's roiling political tragedy, Julius Caesar. The play tells the tale of the conspiracy to assassinate 'the foremost man of all this world', the famous funeral oration of Mark Antony, which turned the fickled mob against the murderers, and the downfall of the conspirators Brutus and Cassius.
Stephen Fry, who is making his Broadway acting debut as Malvolio in the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of TWELFTH NIGHT, will be a guest on 'The Colbert Report' on Thursday, October 24. 'The Colbert Report' airs at 11:30 PM ET on Comedy Central, 10:30 PM Central.

Quintessence Theatre Group launches its fourth season of progressive classic theatre with Shakespeare's HAMLET presented in rotating repertory with Goldmsmith's SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER, directed by Alexander Burns. Quintessence's celebrated full throttle actor and text driven approach to the classics will be further enhanced by an Elizabethan Courtyard style staging, complete with groundlings, and a fast and furious two hour abridgement of HAMLET. HAMLET began previews on Wednesday, October 9 at 7pm and opened on Saturday, October 12.
