Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati Presents HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW

Blues and Broadway take the stage as Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati presents the regional premiere of Larry Parr's His Eye is on the Sparrow, the powerful, heartbreaking, and uplifting account of the iconic Ethel Waters, who overcame a spirit-breaking childhood and racial injustice to become a legendary jazz and blues singer, Broadway pioneer, and Oscar-nominated actress. This one-woman musical biography recounts the life behind this leading lady and features some of Waters's most famous musical numbers. Playing April 24-May 19, 2018. Directed by D. Lynn Meyers. Bay Street Theater Announces Cast And Creative Team For The World Premiere Of FELLOW TRAVELERS

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of FELLOW TRAVELERS, a new play by Jack Canfora, directed by Michael Wilson. The production will run as the first show in Bay Street Theater's 2018 Mainstage Season, from May 29 - June 17, 2018. New York Times To Host Event At Cincinnati Shakespeare

In January, Cincinnati was selected by the New York Times for its prestigious 52 Places To Go annual feature, a list of must-see locations around the world that inspire its readers' wanderlust. For the first time ever, the nation's largest daily newspaper has also selected a 52 Places Traveler who will report from the road as she visits each and every location on the list throughout 2018. The Cincinnati stop is planned for May when the 52 Places Traveler Jada Yuan will join New York Times veteran reporter John Eligon for a one-night-only special event, Wednesday, May 9 titled Destination Cincinnati- And Beyond. Cincinnati is the first city to host an exclusive event in conjunction with the 52 Places designation honor.

Mercury Theatre Colchester Announces Full Company For 2017 Mercury Playwriting Prize Winner EUROPE AFTER THE RAIN

Mercury Theatre Colchester today announces the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of the 2017 Mercury Playwrighting Prize winner - Oliver Bennett's Europe After The Rain. Cara Nolan directs James Alexandrou (Will), Simon Haines (Max), Natasha Kafka (Marta) and Anna Koval (Yana) and the creative team includes Amelia Jane Hankin (Designer), Kiaran Kesby (Lighting Designer), Nuno Santos (Sound Designer) and Craig Hamblyn (Fight Director). Europe After the Rain opens in the Mercury Studio Theatre on the 31 May with previews from 25 May and runs until 9 June.

Celebration Theatre Closes Season with CABARET

Celebration Theatre presents under the artistic direction of Michael Matthews & Michael A. THREE TALL WOMEN Adds Midnight Performance to Benefit Actors Fund

Producer Scott Rudin announced today a special Midnight Performance for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women on Thursday, May 17 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), which will be a one-night-only benefit for The Actors Fund. The first Broadway production of Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece stars two-time Academy Award®-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award® winner, three-time Emmy Award® winner, and 2018 Academy Award® nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award® nominee Alison Pill, and is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello. Tickets will be available at actorsfund.org.

Princeton Summer Theater Returns In 2018

Princeton Summer Theater is pleased to announce that Daniel Krane and Hannah Semmelhack will serve as the company's new leadership team for the 2018 season. Daniel Krane, originally from Brookline, MA, will serve as PST's Artistic Director, with Princeton native Hannah Semmelhack as Executive Director. Both are Theater certificate students at Princeton University.

Central Works 2018 season of new plays leaps into the spring with the world premiere of Palace Wreckers, Inc, written and directed by Gary Graves, opening with a press night on Saturday, May 12, and running through June 10  (previews May 10 & 11) in architect Julia Morgan's historic Berkeley City Club. This Central Works Method play is a "revenge comedy" - based on a Greek tragedy, turned into a contemporary comedy.
