Theatre luminaries will gather on Monday, November 17, 2014, to to honor acclaimed playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis as he receives the 2014 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award at the Steinberg Playwright Awards, presented by The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust. Scenes highlighting his work will be presented at the 7th Annual 'Mimi' Awards, which will take place at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.

Lakewood Theatre Company will present in December 2014 an all-new version of their annual Holiday Magic Breakfast Theatre production with the presentation of The Peppermint Bear Show and the Toy Elves. Performances will be in Lakewood Center's Community Meeting Room at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Saturdays December 6, 13, and 20. Tickets are $12.00 for students and adults and includes a light continental breakfast available 1/2 hour before the performance. The theatre is located at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. Directed by Kip Fagan (The Revisionist, Asuncion), the play is the second production of the acclaimed theater company's 2014/2015 Season. It follows the critically-acclaimed Bootycandy, a new play written and directed by Robert O'Hara, which concludes its extended run this Sunday evening on the Mainstage.
