Directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, GUYS AND DOLLS began previews on February 5, 2009 and opened on March 1, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The Chicago Company of JERSEY BOYS welcomes three new, talented performers to the cast - Michael Cunio as Tommy DeVito, Dominic Scaglione Jr. as Frankie Valli and Shonn Wiley as Bob Gaudio. Wiley and Scaglione Jr. have already been welcomed by Chicago audiences to their new roles. Cunio is set to make his JERSEY BOYS debut in Chicago on April 24, 2009.

The opposites attracting plot is probably as old as romantic comedy itself, but even if Rooms: a rock romance follows familiar paths, the Paul Scott Goodman (book/music/lyrics) and Miriam Gordon (book) two-person musical is such a buoyant, funny and upbeat affair that the clichés of the story are conquered by the cleverness and exuberance with which the story is told. Under Scott Schwartz's swift and breezy direction, the 90-minute one-act scoots the audience along on an immensely enjoyable ride.

'JERSEY BOYS', the award-winning Broadway musical which opened in London's West End at the Prince Edward Theatre on 18 March last year, has just triumphed at the Laurence Olivier Awards by winning the coveted ?Best New Musical' Award. This adds to the rich haul of over seventeen major international awards that 'JERSEY BOYS' has won since it first opened in 2006 on Broadway.
The winners are being announced as they happen for this year's Laurence Olivier Awards, London's equivalent of the Tonys. The awards, which were created in 1976 were given out on Sunday March 8, 2009 in a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
