Voting is fully underway for BroadwayWorld's 2010 Theatre Fans' Choice Awards, with thousands of votes already in and recording voting numbers already being set. So far there have been early leads established for some surprising and not so suprising early leaders.

The New York Times is reporting that real-life married couple Marrin Mazzie and Jason Danieley will be taking over the lead roles in Next to Normal on July 19th. This will mark the couple's first on-stage pairing in a Broadway show.

On her day off last week, theater legand and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC star Angela Lansbury took in a production of MEMPHIS at the Shubert Theatre. BroadwayWorld brings you shots of her backstage visit following the performance with MEMPHIS stars Chad Kimball and Montego Glover.

Montego Glover, Tony nominated for her performance in MEMPHIS, will perform at the Ford's Theatre Society annual gala titled 'America Celebrates July 4th at Ford's Theatre.' The program will be filmed Sunday, June 6, in Washington, DC; portions of the gala will air on Friday, July 2nd on ABC (9pm - 10pm ET).

Yesterday, May 27, the Outer Critics Circle honored the recipients of the 2010 Outer Critics Circle Awards in a reception at Sardis in Times Square. The cast of the hit comedy 'God of Carnage' --- Dylan Baker, Jeff Daniels, Lucy Liu and Janet McTeer served as presenters at the organization's 60th Annual Award ceremony. The original cast of the hit Broadway musical MEMPHIS will perform the number 'Someday' live on Thursday, May 27th, in the 9am (EST) hour on NBC's 'The Today Show.' The appearance will feature Tony-nominated stars Montego Glover and Chad Kimball as well as Tony-nominated composer and Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Next to Normal, will play her final Broadway performance on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30p.m. Ms. Ripley will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's entire 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 with a six-week engagement at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, followed by confirmed engagements in San Diego, Seattle, Des Moines, Providence, Hartford, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, St. Paul, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, DC, and more cities to be announced in the near future.

MEMPHIS, winner of the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Outstanding New Musical Award, celebrates its 250th performance on Tuesday, May 25th at 7pm at the Shubert Theatre. Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season. BroadwayWorld.com provided live coverage on the site throughout the ceremony and was on hand at the event to capture the starry arrivals.

MEMPHIS is the winner of the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Best Original Musical.

Daryl Waters and David Bryan are this year's recipient of the 2010 Best Orchestrations Award for MEMPHIS.

The Broadway stars of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award winning JERSEY BOYS: Sebastian Arcelus, Matt Bogart, Dominic Nolfi and Jarrod Spector will appear on 'Rachael Ray' on Monday, May 24. 'Rachael Ray' airs in the New York area at 10am on WABC-TV, Channel 7 (check local listings for times outside the New York area).
