The annual Broadway League Awards, honoring excellence and achievement for Touring Broadway, were announced today during the Broadway League's 2017 Spring Road Conference. First presented in 1992, the Broadway League Awards recognize the contributions of those who have displayed exemplary service to the Broadway industry and are considered innovators of their craft. Bristol Riverside Theatre concludes its 30th Anniversary season with Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution, running May 9-May 28.  Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the high-voltage thriller by the Queen of Crime drama features an ensemble of professional actors.

Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere of Cost of Living, the new play by Martyna Majok (Ironbound, Mouse in a Jar), directed by Jo Bonney (Father Comes Home from the Wars; By the Way, Meet Vera Stark), begins performances tonight, Tuesday May 16, at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Chicago Theatre Workshop, in association with Fletcher Jones Volkswagen, is proud to announce the regional premiere of Little Miss Sunshine, May 11 - June 4, at The Edge Theatre, 5451 N. Broadway. Little Miss Sunshine, music and lyrics by William Finn and book by James Lapine, is directed and choreographed by Maggie Portman and music directed by Nick Sula. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the Globe-commissioned world premiere adaptation of The Imaginary Invalid written by Moliere and reinvented by the acclaimed theatre group Fiasco Theater. Fiasco last delighted Globe audiences with their inventive reimagining of Into the Woods in 2014. This new take on the hilarious classic tale is directed by Fiasco Co-Artistic Directors Jessie Austrian and Noah Brody.

Ending one of the longest tenures in American theatre, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced today that Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley will retire at the conclusion of the company's 50th season, 2019/2020.

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for HAMLET, featuring Golden Globe Award winner Oscar Isaac as the tormented Danish Prince. Directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold, HAMLET will begin previews on Tuesday, June 20 and run through Sunday, September 3 in the Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Thursday, July 13.

Opening tonight at 3-Legged Dog is the world premiere of 3/Fifths, conceived and written by James Scruggs, with direction and dramaturgy by Tamilla Woodard and Kareem Fahmy, and choreographed by Andre M. Zachery. 3/Fifths, an interactive romp through the minefields of racism in the US, turns 3LD Art and Technology Center into SupremacyLand, a dystopian theme park that puts white privilege on display.

AFTER HOURS THETRE COMPANY (who most recently produced I Love You Because) present, from the Academy Award-winning musical team responsible for 'La La Land' and the smash Broadway hit Dear Evan Hansen, DOGFIGHT, music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, book by Peter Duchan, musical direction by Elmo Zapp, choreography and co-direction by Jennifer Oundjian and co-directed by Jennifer Strattan.  DOGFIGHT will open on Friday, June 2 and perform through Sunday, June 25 at the Hudson Backstage, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN star Ben Platt stopped by today's 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' to discuss the Tony-nominated musical.

According to Rachel Bay Jones, being nominated for a Tony isn't as nerve wracking as she thought, but just, 'a big party, where I get to see the people that I love.' Rachel is one of the many people nominated from DEAR EVAN HANSEN, where her performance earned her a Tony nomination for Featured Actress in a Musical.
