POLLYANNA opens at Artisan Center Theater on Today, May 10, 2018 and runs through Saturday, May 26, 2018. The 150 seat Second Stage theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:00pm on Todays and Fridays and 3:30pm on Saturdays. Reserved seating tickets are $22.00 for adults and $12.00 for children 12 and under.

The Asian American Arts Alliance has administered its third cycle of the Van Lier Fellowships in the categories of Visual Arts Practice and Visual Arts Curation and announces its 2018 Van Lier Fellows: Maia Chao for Visual Arts Practice and Simon Wu for Visual Arts Curation.

The Board of Directors of the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company announces the establishment of The Ewen-Fort-Stettler Fund, honoring founding Producing Directors Malcolm Ewen, Tim Fort and Steve Stettler and their contributions to Weston, to Vermont, and to the American Theatre.

LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director John Ortiz) recently announced that they will present the World Premiere of Devil of Choice by LAB Member Maggie Bofill (Winners, Drawn and Quartered). They are thrilled for performances to begin Wednesday, May 23, and will run through Saturday, June 9, 2018, at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, New York, NY 10014). Westport Country Playhouse will open its 2018 Season with an uplifting tale of bravery, pride, and sisterhood, "Flyin' West," written by Pearl Cleage and directed by Seret Scott, playing May 29 through June 16.  This year marks the historic theater's 88th season.

Broadway stars went out in style last night at Second Stage's annual gala. Among those in attendance were Billy Porter, Alice Ripley, Lindsay Mendez, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Tom Kitt, Adam Chanler-Berat, Denee Benton, David Cromer, Itamar Moses, Kellen Blair, and Joe Kinosian.

The Off-Broadway League are presenting awards in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway and we're bringing you the winners live.

A shocking political reversal has found Americans facing headlines filled with divisive rhetoric while polarized citizens passionately debate the issues of the day. In Times Unseen, a long-term performance workshop series at The Marsh spearheaded by solo director maestro David Ford, the interaction of the political and the personal in times of great change is chronicled onstage. Initiated in 2017 in response to the presidential election, Times Unseen spotlights performers from disparate social, geographical, and political backgrounds, who share their raw, honest, and American experiences. Monthly showcases will culminate in a festival of work in October 2018, just in time for the midterm elections. Times Unseen performers will present their works in progress 7:30pm Monday, June 4 and in collaboration with Stagebridge 7:30pm Tuesday, June 12. Both performances will be staged at The Marsh Berkeley, 2120 Allston Way, Berkeley. The UC San Diego Department of Theatre and Dance presents SERE, written by Ava Geyer and directed by Dylan Key, as part of the 2018 Wagner New Play Festival.

The New American Theatre (NAT) will present the Los Angeles premiere of Greg Kalleres' (Honky) comedy Meanwhile, Back at the Super Lair... at the award-winning company's new Hollywood venue. New American Theatre's artistic director Jack Stehlin directs. The production will open Saturday, May 26 and runs through Saturday, June 23. ' Super Lair' will be presented independently and then will be offered as a Hollywood Fringe Festival show.

Abingdon Theatre Company (Tony Speciale, Artistic Director; Denise Dickens, Producing Director) presents the final main stage production of its 25th Anniversary season, Fruit Trilogy, a new trilogy of plays by Tony Award winner Eve Ensler (The Vagina Monologues, In the Body of the World) and directed by Mark Rosenblatt

Seattle Repertory Theatre today announced the all-female ensemble of its highly anticipated and innovative adaptation of MAC BETH by Erica Schmidt. Set to run May 18 - June 17, 2018 (opening night May 23), tickets to MAC BETH are on sale now through the Seattle Rep Box Office at 206.443.2222 and online at SeattleRep.org. The Rep's production is also a participant in Seattle Celebrates Shakespeare.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is presenting a private reading of the new musical, THE PROXY MARRIAGE, book and lyrics by Michele Lowe and music and lyrics by Adam Gwon, on May 7 in New York City, which includes actors Jason Tam (Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC, Broadway: A Chorus Line, If/Then), Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Anika Larsen (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Avenue Q), and Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, Big River). The reading is directed by Lonny Price (Sunset Boulevard starring Glenn Close) and music directed by Vadim Feichtner (Falsettos Broadway revival).

The Woman Is Perfected follows the psychological breakdown of a single young woman entangled in abusive relationships and a crippling compulsion to perfect her body through plastic surgery. Written by Ruth Fowler, starring Maliabeth Johnson (Parks and Recreation, Mad Men, American Horror Story: Hotel) and directed by Ryan McRee, this feminist "Everyman" tragedy will have its World Premiere at the Broadwater Theatre's Second Stage in association with the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Karen Zacarias's Native Gardens, which was developed in the Globe's 2017 Powers New Voices Festival. Edward Torres (the Globe's Water by the Spoonful) directs this uproarious new comedy, playing May 26 - June 24, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run May 26-30. Opening night is Thursday, May 31 at 8:00 p.m.
