The SF Playhouse (Bill English, Artistic Director; Susi Damilano, Producing Director) is thrilled to announce the West Coast Premiere of Rajiv Joseph's Animals Out of Paper will fill their previously unannounced Winter slot.

Keith Carradine, Ann Harada, and Anika Larsen have joined The New Group's 2010 Gala Benefit to honor Robyn Goodman. Goodman will be presented the Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. The Gala will take place January 25th at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill and will be hosted by Wallace Shawn and Jeff Whitty.

Second Stage Theatre has announced that Tony Award winners John Lithgow and Jennifer Ehle will star as MR. & MRS. FITCH in the world premiere comedy from Douglas Carter Beane. The production marks Mr. Beane's return to Second Stage Theatre where his critically acclaimed, Tony-nominated play The Little Dog Laughed premiered in 2005. MR. & MRS. FITCH will be directed by Scott Ellis, who also staged the world premiere and Broadway transfer of The Little Dog Laughed. Previews begin at Second Stage Theatre on January 26, 2010; opening night is scheduled for Thursday, February 22.

In conjunction with the Philadelphia Premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist 'Becky Shaw', The Wilma Theater will present an afternoon of conversation with playwright Gina Gionfriddo.  The talk with the Obie Award-winning American playwright and TV producer and writer of "Law & Order" will follow the Sunday, January 10, 2 p.m. matinee performance and will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Following the record-breaking and critically acclaimed engagement of 'American Idiot' at the Berkeley Rep, the production is now Broadway-bound. 'American Idiot' will begin previews in March 2010 and open on Broadway in April at the St. James Theatre. The Broadway cast will be announced shortly.

The Wilma Theater announces the extension of its current theatrical run of Becky Shaw by Obie Award-winning playwright and 'Law & Order' television producer and writer Gina Gionfriddo.

Producers Tom Hulce and Ira Pittelman announced today that following the record-breaking and critically acclaimed engagement at Berkeley Rep, the production will begin previews on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 and open on Broadway Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44 Street). The Broadway cast will be announced shortly.

Variety reports that stage and screen star Rosemarie DeWitt has been cast alongside Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal Earthbound for Film Department.
