Watch her legendary choreography ignite the stage with two new works as Dance @ Annenberg Center Live continues October 30-November 1. One of the great choreographers of the modern age, Twyla Tharp, brings her 50th Anniversary program to The Wallis in a historic debut presentation which includes the world premieres of 'Preludes and Fugues,' set to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and 'Yowzie,' set to a compilation of American jazz arranged by Henry Butler and Steve Bernstein. The Wallis, along with four other performing arts centers across the country, is a co-commissioner of the new work.

World-renowned artists Mika (marimba) and Richard Stoltzman (clarinet) return to Carnegie Hall on November 5, 2015, to showcase their amazing versatility and crossover ability in a one-night only concert event. The program includes works by Chick Corea, John Zorn, Toru Takemitsu, Bach, Ravel, and Stravinsky, as well as the world premiere of William T. McKinley's 22-movement Mostly Blues for Clarinet and Marimba. Joining the duo on stage are guest artists Eddie Gomez (bass), Adam Albert (clarinet), John Hamann (bass clarinetist), and Miki Orihara (principal dancer of the Martha Graham Dance Company).

Hartt School to Introduce New Harpsichord with Early Music Concert, 9/20

On September 20, The Hartt School at the University of Hartford will unveil the newest instrument in its collection: a harpsichord custom built by Norfolk, Connecticut resident Carl Dudash.  To mark the acquisition, the internationally-recognized faculty of The Hartt School will present a free concert of music written in the heyday of the harpsichord.
