Artists Rep will present The Gin Game by D.L. Coburn, starring Allen Nause and Vana O'Brien, directed by JoAnn Johnson. This two-person, two-act play is a 1978 Pulitzer Prize winner and garnered multiple Tony Award nominations both with its original 1977 production and the Broadway revival in 1997. This play replaces the originally planned production of The Invisible Hand by Ayad Akhtar.

The Old Globe today announced that Joshua Elijah Reese will play the role of Ogun Henri Size in the Southern California premiere of The Brothers Size by award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney.

Marin Theatre Company's Board of Directors announced today that it has named Michael Barker as the 46-year-old nonprofit theater company's new managing director. Currently the general manager of Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, CA, Barker will assume his full-time duties at MTC on February 25, 2013.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California premiere of The Brothers Size by award-winning playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney. Directed by Tea Alagi?, The Brothers Size will run Jan. 26 - Feb. 24, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Jan. 26 - Jan. 30. Seattle Repertory Theatre announced the line-up for its first New Play Festival in Winter 2013, including four plays-in-progress from three Seattle playwrights and a native Idahoan. From tonight, Jan. 5 to Feb. 3, Seattle Rep will present workshops and readings of new works by Robert Schenkkan (By the Waters of Babylon, The Kentucky Cycle), Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise, The Whale), and Elizabeth Heffron (New Patagonia, Mitzi's Abortion). Newcomer Justin Huertas rounds out the group with an innovative debut. Established Northwest directors Sheila Daniels (Dancing at Lughnasa, Seattle Rep; Ramayana, ACT) and Artistic Director Jerry Manning (I Am My Own Wife, Of Mice and Men) will direct.

Lucky Star written by Ted Sod and Edie Demas will be read on Monday, January 28th at 7pm at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (between 9th and 10th Streets) New York, NY 10003. Lucky Star is about Jill, a 16-year-old suburban rebel from Piscataway, NJ with an overactive imagination, who has been parented by an ex-drag queen turned florist named Coco Dependent. Jill thinks her biological mother is either Madonna, Beyonce or Amy Winehouse.
