If ever a show has become part of the 'fabric' of New York and pop culture, it is the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q -- with its colorful cast of humans and puppets. The ground-breaking musical hits a new landmark this summer when it celebrates its 10th anniversary on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 with a 'Thank Q' to fans for the decade of laughter and love: starting at 10 a.m., the first 100 patrons in line can purchase $10 seats (cash only) to the special 7 p.m. 10th anniversary performance at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.), where AVENUE Q has performed for the past four years following its triumphant six-year run on Broadway.

General/Artistic Director Pelham 'Pat' Pearce announces Central City Opera's (CCO) 2014 Summer Festival, running today, June 28 through August 13, 2014, featuring Mozart's beloved opera, The Marriage of Figaro; Jake Heggie's opera Dead Man Walking, based on the true story and famous book written by Sister Helen Prejean about her relationship with Lousiana death row inmate Joseph De Rocher which was also an award-winning movie; and Rodgers and Hammerstein II's glorious musical The Sound of Music performed in Denver at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

James Gandolfini, who is most known for starring in the HBO hit 'The Sopranos', died yesterday in Italy, according to multiple sources. He was 51. The cause is rumored to be a heart attack but no details have been confirmed. Due to overwhelming demand, The Public Theater announced a final four-week extension for the critically acclaimed world premiere musical Here Lies Love, with concept and lyrics by David Byrne, music by David Byrneand Fatboy Slim, additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo, and choreography by Annie-B Parson. Paris Photo Los Angeles concluded Sunday with genuine excitement over the inaugural United States edition of the renowned Paris fair for artworks in the photographic medium.
