Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) close out 2016 with a reading of THE SAD TRUTH ABOUT COUNTRY SONGS, featuring Lynn Cohen (Sex and The City, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and Sean Meehan (The Normal Heart, The Deuce). Written by Stephen Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto, the full-length original play sees its debut at 8pm on Thursday, October 27, downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street, New York, NY 10014. BWW Reviews: ZOMBIE: THE AMERICAN Creeps into Woolly Mammoth

If the dystopian future of Robert O'Hara's new satirical look of American politics come true, there will be a few changes to the nation as we know it. The Presidency will return to Lordships and Ladies due to removing all nuclear weapons because of the 'India Incident'. The west coast of the US will be in a civil war against the east, Cotton XP will be a prime commodity, the United African Nations will want to invade the US, and oh, there are zombies running a shadow government in the basement of the White House (which now resides inside Mount Rushmore).

Woolly Mammoth to Present World Premiere of ZOMBIE: THE AMERICAN

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces its climactic production of Season 35, the world premiere of Zombie: The American by Woolly's playwright-in-residence Robert O'Hara, directed by Woolly Mammoth Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz. Zombie: The American will run from May 25 to June 21, 2015.

'These are the plays that didn't fit,' explains playwright Stephen Gracia, This month's offerings are: 'The Two Swords Doctrine' and 'The Monster with 21 Faces,' both written by Gracia and directed by Michael LoPorto. The show is tonight, September 25 at 8pm at Mr. Dennehy's on 63 Carmine Street. Admission is free, with a $3 suggested donation.

Woolly Mammoth to Close Season with THE TOTALITARIANS, 6/2-29

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's The Totalitarians, a high-energy political comedy. The play explores the vacuous double-speak we invent for political gain and how this language insinuates itself into our everyday lives, relationships, and culture. Nachtrieb's work was last seen at Woolly with Season 29's Boom (2008), which went on to become the most widely produced new play in the country. Woolly Company Member and Andrew W. Mellon Playwright in Residence Robert O'Hara-the playwright and director of Season 31's Bootycandy (2011) and the playwright of Season 29's Helen Hayes Award winning Antebellum (2009)-will direct.

The short play is directed by Michael LoPorto as is the curtain raiser monologue, 'A People's History of Super Heroism.' The performance is tonight, March 28 at 8pm downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with $3 suggested donation.

All proceeds will benefit On Behalf of a Grateful Nation who raise money for veterans and their families in the New York and New England area.

Dialogue with Three Chords presents "Lovecraft in Brooklyn" a staged reading of a new work from playwright Stephen Gracia that explores H.P. Lovecraft's tumultuous time living in Brooklyn while newly married. The reading also includes the curtain raiser "When I Dream, I See Strange Men: The Ascension of Elias" which deals with an imagined alien abduction. Both pieces are directed by Michael LoPorto. The show also features live music from Tommy Lombardozzi on October 25 downstairs at Mr. Dennehy's pub on 63 Carmine Street in Manhattan. Admission is free with a $3 suggested donation.
