On a Thursday interview on Fox News, former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin asserted that the NEA - among other arts organizations - should be cut, saying: 'NPR, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, all those kind of frivolous things that government shouldn't be in the business of funding with tax dollars - those should all be on the chopping block.'

Talk radio and television personality Sean Hannity will headline the Freedom Concert at the Orleans Arena on August 8, beginning at 8 p.m. All proceeds from the concert series, now in its sixth year, will go toward the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund for the dependents of U.S. military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident.
