Titan Theatre Company announced today that it will offer a limited block of $12 early-bird tickets to the final production in its critically acclaimed, award-winning second season, Shakespeare's epic masterpiece King Lear. The production, which stars Broadway vet Terry Layman in the title role and is made possible through a generous grant from the Queens Council for the Arts, will run April 25-May 11, 2014 at the Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue, located in beautiful Flushing Meadows Park. $12 early-bird discount tickets (regularly $18) are available to patrons now through April 7, 2014. Queens-based Titan Theatre Company will conclude it's critically acclaimed, award-winning second season with a signature take on Shakespeare's epic masterpiece King Lear. The production will play a limited run April 25 - May 11, 2014 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V, will direct.
"The King," or rather four male performers onstage paying homage to Elvis Presley through the four periods of his fabulous career, will appear at Harris Center/Three Stages as part of a 60 city tour. "The show has historical, nostalgic and emotional qualities. People are surprised. It takes them on a journey" (The Advocate).
Tonight, May 3, TheatreWorks New Milford will debut legendary playwright Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy-drama, SEASCAPE. The curtain goes up at 8:00 p.m. for a four week-run. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
