Exactly ten years after closing on Broadway, Boy George's TABOO returned to New York for a very special two-night-only engagement benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The concert starred Matthew Rowland (Boy George) and Samuel Buttery (Leigh Bowery), both of whom reprised their performances from the 2012 revival of TABOO at the Brixton Clubhouse in London. Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar) took on the role of 'Philip Sallon.' In the video below, original 'Big Sue' Liz McCartney sings 'Talk Amongst Yourselves.'

BroadwayWorld.com is very excited to announce that we will be returning to Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in 2014, kicking off a year-long celebration of the community and our 10th anniversary with regularly scheduled concerts, live streams and special events in a BIG way. The concert series will launch on January 20, 2014 with BROADWAYWORLD VISITS OZ, directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Broadway stars Sarah Uriarte Berry (Taboo/Beauty and the Beast) and Tony Vincent (The Voice/American Idiot) will sing in Broadway Pops International's concert production of I HEART THE 80's with Robert Moody conducting the Portland (Maine) Symphony Orchestra in two performances April 27th and 28th.

Producer Scott Siegel announced this morning that tickets will be go on sale today at noon via TicketMaster for the 9th Annual BROADWAY UNPLUGGED concert in which today's Broadway stars sing like the stars of yesteryear: without microphones! Unplugged! In this age of head-splitting, over-amplifcation the sound of the pure human voice soaring through the orchestra and then sailing up into the balcony of an acoustically pure concert hall is to hear Broadway show music at its most thrilling. This year's cast is headed by two of Broadway's most in-demand stars, CHEYENNE JACKSON and LAURA OSNES. They will lead a cast of upwards of twenty sensational singing stars on Monday, December 3rd at 8 PM at The Town Hall.
