This fall, COMEDY CENTRAL is looking for the best new stand-up talent in the country including the Bay Area by holding 'Up Next' A CC: Certified Talent Search through the network's Certified Clubs program. 'Up Next' A CC: Certified Talent Search will consist of comedians performing in preliminary local showcases hosted by Cobb's Comedy Club and 25 other participating Certified Clubs from September 3-23. The preliminary showcase for Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco will take place tonight, September 15, 7:30pm.

The 8th Annual Laugh For Sight NYC All-Star Comedy Benefit, with headliners Jerry Seinfeld and Robert Klein and featuring Hiram Kasten (among others). The benefit, hosted by WFAN's 'Boomer & Carton In the Morning's' Craig Carton, will take place on Monday, October 28th at 7:00p.m. at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City.

COMEDY CENTRAL is rolling out the red carpet for the multi-hyphenated and extremely talented James Franco.

Comedy Central is putting its Emmy-nominated Roast franchise at its fans' fingertips. The network announced today that the premiere of the 'COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of James Franco' will be expanded to multiple screens with a livestream and an exclusive red carpet pre-show across CC.com, mobile, tablets and on its CC:Stand-Up app on Xbox 360.

Comedian, actor and writer, Brian Posehn, will visit Comix At Foxwoods for the first time for a four show lineup this October. With performances Thursday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Oct. 19, Posehn will perform at 8 p.m. nightly, before finishing the weekend on Oct. 19 with a 'nasty'-themed showcase at 10:30 p.m.

Premium TV network EPIX announced the continuation of the hilarious season of Comedy Unbound that began earlier this month. EPIX will premiere another new hour-long special - Jim Norton: American Degenerate - tonight, August 23. From stand-up comedy to film and television, Sarah Silverman has made her comedy mark on the entertainment world. She lent her voice to the hugely popular Comedy Central show 'Crank Yankers' and starred in Paramount's The School of Rock, opposite Jack Black, Mike White, and Joan Cusack. She will make her Ridgefield Playhouse debut on Saturday, September 14, at 8 p.m. where she will be in her element, on the stage up-close-and-personal. Special guest is TV, film and radio comedian Kyle Dunnigan of Comedy Central fame. David Cross and Bob Odenkirk have announced the upcoming September 10 release of their new book, entitled HOLLYWOOD SAID NO! Orphaned Film Scripts, Bastard Scenes, and Abandoned Darlings from the Creators of Mr. Show. In support of the book, the Emmy Award-winning creators and stars of Mr. Show with Bob and David will embark on a multi-city book-signing tour, as well as their first official stand-up comedy shows together since their sold-out national tour in 2002.

This year The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), presented in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, marks its 10th anniversary Wednesday, November 6 through Sunday, November 10. The festival will once again bring laughs to all the boroughs in New York City, and adding several new venues. The 2013 festival line-up will be announced in August, at which time tickets will also go on sale. Additional shows will be added in the fall.
