The Night Alive, written by Conor McPherson, recently took home the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2012-2013 season. All the Way, written by Robert Schenkkan received the award for Best American Play. A Fun Home received the award for Best Musical. A team of nearly 100 stars from Broadway, film, television, and music will cast, write, compose, direct, rehearse, tech, and perform four original musicals - all in the obscenely short time between an evening meet-and-greet on Sunday, April 6 and show time on Monday, April 7 at 8pm. The 24 Hour Company ® is teaming with the Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the sixth-ever 24 Hour Musicals. The event benefits the Exchange's summer retreat, The Orchard Project, which kick-starts innovative new theatrical work from around the world.

On Monday, March 31, The Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomed composer Lance Horne, along with a bevy of Broadway performers singing his praises and songs. The band included Matt Aronoff on bass, John Bollinger on drums and Yair Evnine on cello. This very special concert included highlights from Horne's debut album 'First Things Last,' and several world premiers, including a sneak peak into The Night Before My Wedding, Mr. Horne's collaboration with Neil Gaiman.
