Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Ken Davenport (author of the popular blog, www.TheProducersPerspective.com) will present the first industry-only reading of MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! (based on the book by Abigail Grotke) on Friday April 30th at Theater Three (home of the Mint Theater, 311 West 43rd Street, between Eighth & Ninth Avenues).
PLAYING JORDAN GOLDMAN by authors David and Andy Neiman will receive its first full staging in Los Angeles, it was announced today by Executive Producer Brad Verebay of New York City.
In a year-long celebration of Broadway tradition, Camp Broadway will kick off its 15th season with performances by luminaries of the New York stage and launch its 2010 program initiatives. A selection of Broadway's treasured compositions, and a debut of original pieces, will be sung by Natalie Douglas (2008 MAC Award Winner, 2008 Nightlife Award Winner), Alison Fraser (THE SECRET GARDEN, GYPSY), Lisa Howard (...SPELLING BEE, SOUTH PACIFIC, 9 TO 5), Kevin Michael Murphy (YouTube's break out star, Craig Stevens), and Michael Winther (33 VARIATIONS, THE CRUCIBLE, MAMMA MIA!, 1776, DAMN YANKEES), and Camp Broadway Kids from over 30 cities around the country. The concert will take place at the Peter Norton Symphony Space on April 13 at 7:30pm.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival, Michael Minarik & Eleven Entertainment announced today that Carly Jibson (Cry-Baby, Hairspray), Clarke Thorell (Catch Me If You Can, Hairspray), Sarah Saltzberg (?Spelling Bee), Kristine Zbornik (A Catered Affair, Road Show) and Randy Blair (Adding Machine) will star in Fat Camp, a new, completely original musical, at the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival. With book by Blair and Timothy Michael Drucker (creators of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival?s Outstanding Musical winner Perez Hilton Saves the Universe), lyrics by Blair, and music by Matthew Roi Berger, Fat Camp will play the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row from September 30th ? October 8th. The production will be directed by Obie Award-winning and Drama Desk Award nominee director Alex Timbers (Gutenberg! the Musical, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, ?Children?s Scientology Pageant).
