Producer Carolyn Rossi Copeland, currently represented Off-Broadway with the hit play Freud's Last Session, has assembled a starry cast for the upcoming special invitational presentation of the original new musical AMAZING GRACE, with music & lyrics by Christopher Smith and book by Mr. Smith & Arthur Giron, on Monday, November 14th at the New 42nd Street Studios. This will be only the second public reading of AMAZING GRACE, which has been in development for the past three years. Under the direction of Gabriel Barre, the cast will feature Josh Young (Judas in Broadway's upcoming Jesus Christ Superstar) as John Newton, Laura Michelle Kelly (Olivier Award winner for Mary Poppins), Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown, Side Show), Alan H. Green (Sister Act, Spelling Bee), Chris Hoch (Spamalot, Shrek), and Harriett D. Foy (Mamma Mia!)

Catholic dogma might not rule the life of 12-year-old Rudy Pazinski, who to the horror of his parents and teacher-nun announces his decision to forgo Confirmation while he shops around for a religion, but Over the Tavern, Tom Dudzick's play opening the 21st season for Seven Angels Theater in Waterbury definitely is a good work with outstanding performances by the young people starring in it.

This one night only cabaret will be held on Friday August 19th at the Gershman Y in Center City, Philadelphia. It will feature Aaron Catano, Shannon Remley, Sarah Spangenberg and Matthew Dean Stewart who make up the cast of the upcoming Philadelphia premiere of 'The Immigrant: A New American Musical.' The evening will include guest artists such as Philadelphia's Marina Marx, Ryan Thomas Streit, Kat Borelli, and New York City actor and cabaret singer Larry Hamilton.

Abingdon Theatre Company will begin previews of its next main stage production of the 2008?2009 season, GREEK HOLIDAY, a New York premiere in the June Havoc Theatre, written by Academy Award-winner Mayo Simon and directed by Stephen Hollis, March 6 to April 5, 2009. Abingdon Theatre Company has announced a special ticket price of $10 for preview performances of Academy Award-winner Mayo Simon's GREEK HOLIDAY, March 6 - March 17 (excepting the benefit performance on Wednesday, March 11). The production will run in Abingdon's June Havoc Theatre. The production is directed by Stephen Hollis.
