Marin Ireland Receives 2010 Hart Alumni Award, 5/16

Today, April 29, The Hartt School of the University of Hartford in Connecticut announced that Tony Award Nominee, Marin Ireland is the recipient of the 2010 Hartt Alumni Award. The award will be conferred on Ms. Ireland, who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Hartt School in 2000, during Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 16, 2010.

Elizabeth Marvel Leads MTC's THAT FACE; Premieres 4/29

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be directed by Sarah Benson (Blasted, Artistic Director of Soho Rep) and will feature three-time Obie winner Elizabeth Marvel (Top Girls, 50 Words). THAT FACE will begin previews on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I for a Tuesday, May 18, 2010 opening night.

FOUR PLACES Makes West Coast Debut At Rogue Machine, Opens 5/14

What starts as an innocent lunch between a septuagenarian Mom and her two adult children degenerates into a fierce game of cat and mouse which leads to a confession that will radically upset the lives of the entire family. In Joel Drake Johnson's darkly humorous play, a weekly family outing takes some unimaginable turns.

Stone Soup Theatre Presents MISS JULIE 4/26-5/5

After several attempts to stage this steamy Strindberg classic in venues throughout San Diego, Stone Soup Theatre's Miss Julie has finally found a home. Thanks to a unique collaboration with North Coast Repertory Theatre, the production will be staged and presented to audiences as a companion piece to NCR's production of Ghosts, by Henrik Ibsen.

The Public Theater announced complete casting for the world premiere of Suzan-Lori Parks' THE BOOK OF GRACE, directed by James Macdonald. The complete cast will feature Amari Cheatom as Buddy, John Doman as Vet, and the previously announced Elizabeth Marvel as Grace. THE BOOK OF GRACE will begin previews on Tuesday, March 2 and run through Sunday, April 4 with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 16. All evening performances for THE BOOK OF GRACE will be at 7:30 PM, except for Saturdays at 8 PM.

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is pleased to close its fourth season of Downstage @ New Rep with boom a New England Premiere by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb.

Soho Rep Receives $200,000 Grant, Postpones ORANGE, HAT & GRACE

Off-Broadway's eleven-time Obie Award-winning Soho Rep (46 Walker Street) is the recipient of a grant in the amount of $200,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to help support the work of the company over the next several seasons; it has been announced by Soho Rep Artistic Director Sarah Benson.

Goodman Theatre Opens Double-bill Of HUGHIE/KRAPP'S LAST TAPE, 2/16

Goodman Artistic Director Robert Falls, acclaimed Canadian director Jennifer Tarver and celebrated star Brian Dennehy team up again for a Broadway-bound double bill, Hughie/Krapp's Last Tape; January 16- February 21, 2010 in the Goodman's Albert Ivar Theatre.
