In anticipation of the new Addams Family tour coming to the Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, anchors at ABC 13 spoke to cast member Jennifer Fogarty. Fogarty, who plays Wednesday Addams, talks about her character, 'the princess of darkness,' being able to relate to the Addams Family, and lots more.
Scott Orlesky, technical director and production manager of The Addams Family tour met with Donna Doherty of the New Haven Register to talk about the upcoming national tour, which will launch from New Haven. The national tour of The Addams Family, currently playing at the Capitol Theatre, is a bit kooky, a bit spooky, and a whole lot of fun. The winning performances make for a great night at the theatre for the whole family.
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, which will make its Orange County premiere December 18 - 30 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills and Sara Gettelfinger will star as Gomez and Morticia in a principal cast that also includes Tony Award nominee Martin Vidnovic as Mal Beineke, Gaelen Gilliland as Alice Beineke, Blake Hammond as Uncle Fester, Pippa Pearthree as Grandma, Tom Corbeil as Lurch, Patrick D. Kennedy as Pugsley, Curtis Holbrook as Lucas Beineke and Cortney Wolfson as Wednesday.
It's Halloween time and so the 5th Avenue Theatre has chosen to fill up our candy bags with a spooky little treat with "The Addams Family". And while this may not be the equivalent of the house on the block that's giving out the full size chocolate bars, it's far from the house that's handing out toothbrushes and dental floss. He said many superlatives, including, but not limited to, 'You haven't lived til you've seen Morticia in this dress,' and 'Director Jerry Zaks has the Nobel Prize in comedy!'
