Fred Hersch And Friends Come to Harris Center

The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, UC Davis will host jazz pianist Fred Hersch over four nights, April 10-13, 2019, in the Vanderhoef Studio Theatre. This event, entitled Fred Hersch and Friends, features Hersch in solo and duo formats with artists he has long admired.

Performances à la Carte Presents Jazz 'n Paz Fall 2018 Concert Series

Curated by Performances a la Carte, Jazz 'n Paz is back with its' fall intimate jazz series of three concerts with some of Los Angeles' finest jazz musicians. Taking place on early Sunday evenings, this season's series opens September 16 with 2 + 1 featuring Jamie Perez, Lyman Medeiros and Nolan Shaheed; Lolly Allen & Friends on October 7; and on November 4, Latin/world jazz with Will Brahm & Homenaje, bringing different cultures and people together through their original music. Jazz 'n Paz takes place at 5:00 p.m. at Neighborhood UU Church in Pasadena. Series subscriptions are now on sale, offering a discount from individual concert tickets.

Acclaimed Jazz Singer Sara Gazarek to Perform at Feinstein's at the Nikko

Acclaimed jazz singer Sara Gazarek will make her Feinstein's at the Nikko debut on Thursday, July 12 at 8 p.m. In this intimate evening, Gazarek will perform songs from her albums 'Dream in the Blue,' 'Blossom & Bee,' and 'Return to You,' as well as other fan favorites. Gazarek will be joined on-stage by pianist Peter Eldridge of New York Voices.

New Art Book COLA 20 Celebrates Twenty Years of Artistic Achievement

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs celebrates the release of its gorgeous new hardbound art book, COLA 20, this Saturday night (August 19) with the help of Daedelus and friends at LA's downtown Grand Performances. The one-night-only community event is part of Grand Performances' free outdoor summer concert series on the California Plaza and will feature music by Deejay Daedelus and guests Sara Gazarek, Baths, Natasha Agrama, Mousey McGlynn, MariGo and more, reinventing electronic music live.
