Pivot Arts and Loyola University's Department of Fine and Performing Arts (DFPA) are pleased to announce the fourth year of their performing arts incubator program for artists that includes mentorships for Loyola undergraduates. The program provides ensembles and artists time and space to develop work that is innovative and often blurs the boundaries between music, dance, theater and other disciplines. Students work alongside professional artists on each project.
The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present God's Ear by Jenny Schwartz, and directed by Andrew Peters (MFA Directing, Class of 2016) on the Fullerton Stage at The Theatre School at DePaul University. The production opens on Friday, February 12, and runs through Sunday, February 21, 2016. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on February 10 and 11 at 7:30 PM.

As the legendary comedy duo Nichols and May, Nichols and his partner Elaine May revolutionized comedy in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Now, May has directed the first documentary about her former partner, Mike Nichols: American Masters, premiering Friday, January 29, 2016, at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) to launch the 30th anniversary season of THIRTEEN's AMERICAN MASTERS series. New York City Ballet will present the fourth installation of its acclaimed Art Series initiative during the Company's 2016 Winter Season. Launched in 2013, the New York City Ballet Art Series features annual collaborations between NYCB and contemporary visual artists who create original works for exhibition at the Company's home, the David H. Nashville actor and NFL Hall of Famer Eddie George, who makes his Broadway debut Tuesday night in the iconic musical Chicago, was named First Night's Outstanding Leading Actor in a Play for his searing portrayal of a former slave haunted by the spectre of abuse in Nashville Repertory Theatre's The Whipping Man. Rene Dunshee Copeland, producing artistic director of Nashville Rep, was named Outstanding Director of a Play, while her three-actor ensemble (which included James Rudolph and Matthew Rosenbaum) were awarded as First Night's Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Play for their rendition of the Matthew Lopez play.
