Hershey Area Playhouse to Host SWEET 16 Cabaret Night in January
To highlight and celebrate its sixteenth season, Hershey Area Playhouse will host a "Sweet 16" Cabaret Night on Saturday, Jan. 16, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Playhouse, located at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Cherry Drive.
The evening will begin with a pre-show reception of hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided by local restaurants and Playhouse volunteers, along with a silent auction, featuring photographs, jewelry, and gift certificates, among a variety of other quality items up for bid.
Following the reception and silent auction the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Cabaret's first act, featuring local actors who have previously graced the Playhouse stage. The second act will feature the Playhouse's upcoming 2016 season, including musical numbers from Godspell and South Pacific, and scenes from Frankenstein and Miracle on 34th Street.
The current lineup of performers includes: Pianist, Lindy Mack; Amy Jo Brixius; Larissa Curcio; Mark Douglas Cuddy; Lois Heagy; Renee Swayne Howard; John Mallonee; Michael Ritter; Ana Santiago; Deborah Santiago; Valerie Schrader; Joshua Schwartz; Sarah Zahn; Travis Zimmerman; cast members from Godspell, the first production of the Playhouse's 2016 season; and many more.
