LA LGBT Center to Stage THE SEARCH FOR SIGNS OF INTELLIGENT LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE: REVISITED

?For the first time in the 35-year history of Jane Wagner's iconic play The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, the author and her creative and life partner Lily Tomlin have given their approval for it to be reinvented as a fully staged production performed by a company of 12 actors as opposed to its original solo format.

Casting Announced and Further Details for ANNA IN THE TROPICS at the Young Theatre

Cal State Fullerton's 2016-2017 season opens with the 2003 Pulitzer Prize winner Anna in the Tropics, written by Nilo Cruz and directed by Fidel Gomez. The cast of  includes Miguel Torres as Santiago, Joseph Daniel Zavala as Cheche, Tina A. Burkhalter as Ofelia, Lauren Villalobos as Marela, Shellie Sterling as Conchita, Eric Flores as Palomo and Wyn Moreno as Juan Julian. Anna in the Tropics runs September 23-October 9 in the Young Theatre on campus.

From the Producers of ¿Quien Mato a Hector Lavoe?, Celia, and La Barberia comes the World Premiere of a brand new musical, I Like It Like That - A Musical for the 2016-2017 season at The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre (304 W. 47 Street), previews begin tonight, September 7, and will celebrate its opening on September 22, 2016. The musical is written by David Maldonado & Waddys Jaquez and directed by Waddys Jaquez.

Pillars of New York to Close Wednesday, September 7th

Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant has announced the East Coast premiere of PILLARS OF NEW YORK, a new musical with book, lyrics and music by Michael Antin, and directed by Jim Blanchette will close as scheduled on Wednesday, September 7th. The final performances are Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 pm.

The Opera Launches Young Artist Program: The Atlanta Opera Studio

General and Artistic Director Tomer Zvulun announced today the launch of The Atlanta Opera's first ever young artist program, The Atlanta Opera Studio. Four singers, one stage director and one pianist will participate in the inaugural 2016-17 season. The artists will make their stage debut at the annual Opera with an Edge season preview concert on Sunday, October 2nd at the Cobb Energy Centre.

During the promotional period of August 24 through October 11, Whole Foods Market locations across the country will highlight an expertly curated list of nine notable wines from Chile. The program will introduce to Whole Foods Market shoppers the exceptional quality and value of Chilean wines - a broad spectrum of varieties chosen from the vast diversity of Chile's terroirs. Whole Foods Market global wine experts Doug Bell and Devon Broglie MS, have personally selected nine SKUs - single varieties and blends - from eight different regions across 600 miles of Chile's wine country.
