Write Act Repertory presents the East Coast premiere of PILLARS OF NEW YORK, a new musical with book, lyrics and music by Michael Antin, and directed by Jim Blanchette. The production will preview tonight, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. and open on Tuesday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. Performances then run Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. from July 13 through September 7 at St. Luke's Theatre, located at 308 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). Segerstrom Center for the Arts will take its Disney Musicals in Schools program to four recently selected Title I public elementary schools during the 2016 - 2017 school year in the third year of the program. The schools are Las Positas Elementary (La Habra), Riverdale Elementary (Garden Grove), Mattie Lou Maxwell Elementary (Anaheim) and Santiago Elementary (Santa Ana). The 17-week musical theater residency begins in the fall and culminates with a 30-minute Disney KIDS musical to be performed by students at each school site. On March 21, 2017, Segerstrom Center will host a Student Share Celebration, when each school will have the extraordinary opportunity to perform a selection from their show in the Rene?e and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for an audience of fellow students, family members and friends.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts begins its 30th Anniversary celebration with another one-night-only star-studded evening of dance: Tour de Force III. The performance will be the first event to represent the array and diversity of the Center's artistic programming, in this case, 30 years of presenting the greatest ballet companies and the world's most celebrated dancers. Tour de Force III will be on Saturday, August 27 in Segerstrom Hall. Produced in collaboration with Ardani Artists, the program will include four Center premieres: Clay by Vladimir Varnava, Zeitgeist by Alastair Marriott, Tristesse by Marcelo Gomes and Le Divertissement du Roi by Maxim Petrov. The international cast includes Diana Vishneva, Joaquin de Luz, Marcelo Gomes, Denis Matvienko, Marcelino Sambe?, Friedemann Vogel and Edward Watson, as well as members of the The Royal Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada.
