Skylight Theatre Company kicks off their new season with the World Premiere of SHADES OF DISCLOSURE, created and performed by the revolutionary voice of QueerWise.

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and J&S Productions Inc., in cooperation with Ayala Foundation, will co-present the Philippines' first full-length opera Noli Me Tangere, The Opera's 60th-anniversary production at the CCP's Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo from January 28 (gala premiere) to February 3, 2017.

When I saw that New York City Opera was doing Leonard Bernstein's CANDIDE at the same time as New York's Prototype Festival--with Missy Mazzoli's BREAKING THE WAVES opening the festival of opera-theatre and music-theatre on the same night—I thought that it was great counter-programming. After all, what could be further from Mazzoli's brilliant but grim gem than Bernstein's comic masterpiece--proving there's more than one way to skin a music theatre piece?

The legendary play with music, 'Zoot Suit,' just kicked off rehearsals at Center Theatre Group. 'Zoot Suit' begins previews January 31, opens February 12 and continues through March 12, 2017, at the Mark Taper Forum. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for its revival of Steve Martin's clever and crowd-pleasing comedy hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

Stephanie Blythe, a renowned mezzo-soprano 'who can do anything' according to The New York Times, will put that theory to the test this February with Opera Philadelphia, as she tries on a Rossini trouser role for the first time and hitches up her pants to appear alongside 'the world's tallest and hairiest drag queen' for an immersive concert event.

New York City Ballet will present the fifth installment of its acclaimed Art Series initiative during the Company's 2017 Winter Season. Launched in 2013, New York City Ballet's Art Series features annual collaborations between NYCB and contemporary visual artists who create original works for exhibition at the Company's home, the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

Romeo & Juliet is directed by Nashville Shakespeare Festival's lead teaching artist Santiago Sosa and features a live musical score by Natalie Bell. The fast-paced and youthful production explores the themes of young love and rash acts of violence amid entrenched generational conflict. The star-crossed lovers will be played by newcomers Mason Conrad and Morgan Davis. The cast also features, Nat McIntyre, David Wilkerson, Corrie Maxwell, Rene Millan, Denice Hicks and many more.
