Three Brothers Theatre Announces Inaugural Musical BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON

Three Brothers Theatre is pleased to present their inaugural musical, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Written by Alex Timbers, Music and Lyrics by Michael Friedman, and directed by Marie Tredway, this production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson opens on May 4, 2018 at Three Brothers Theatre Upstage, located at 221 N. Genesee St in Waukegan, IL.

The Dare Tactic Presents A ROLLER RINK TEMPTATION

The final event in The Dare Tactics 4th Season, A Roller Rink Temptation, By Catherine Weingarten, will roll into WOW Cafe Theatre May 25-27, 2018. Helmed by Daniella Caggiano, Roller Rink is a coming of age dark comedy romp about six teen chicks at a lesbian roller rink struggling for love in a new and sexiii world. Rootabega (Maggie Metnick*) is super jewy and confused about her sexuality, but luckily one of the rink's employee's, Lemonade (Dani Martineck) is ready to show her around. Poppy (Leah Lane) is finally 16 and her and her BFF Clementine ( Hui-Shan Yong) are super excited to celebrate; too bad a fat, scary, girly repressed secret threatens their friendship. Salmonella (Claire Rose Autran) says she's 'straight' but a chance encounter with an awkward butch artist named Bluebell (Azalea Lewis) complicates everything.

Guthrie Theater Presents Major Revival Of WEST SIDE STORY

The Guthrie Theater (Joseph Haj, artistic director) proudly announced the cast and creative team for the theater's summer musical, West Side Story. Directed by Haj, this major revival of a timeless classic will play June 16 - August 26, 2018, on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. Signature's OUR LADY OF 121ST STREET Extends Through June 17

The Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Our Lady of 121st Street, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad, has been extended by a week, the company announced today. The production, which opened on May 20, will now run through June 17, 2018.

EQ Channel Will Present Album WHEN THE NIGHT HAS COME at Dixon Place Theater

Internationally renowned recording artist EQ Channel will present a live theatrical presentation of her new Pop/Dance album When The Night Has Come at Dixon Place Theater on Sunday, May 27 at 4:00 pm. This unique concert will preview music from her album and explore the vision and inspiration behind the songs. With a dramatic touch. EQ Channel will also introduce two new female artists, Laisha Torres and BabyBella, who will perform new songs composed by EQ Channel. Off-Broadway Hit SKELETON CREW Comes to People's Light

People's Light presents the wildly successful off-Broadway hit Skeleton Crew, a powerful story of love and loyalty by New Play Frontiers writer Dominique Morisseau. This funny, incisive, and "deeply American" (The New York Times) play that "theatergoers won't want to miss" (Huffington Post) centers on a group of Detroit autoworkers as they confront the eroding manufacturing industry. Steve H. Broadnax III, who directed the theatre's critically-acclaimed staging of The Mountaintop in 2016, returns for the production. Skeleton Crew opens on June 13 and has already extended to July 15 on the Steinbright Stage at People's Light.

Signature Theatre Announces Second Extension for PARADISE BLUE

The Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Paradise Blue by Obie Award-winning playwright Dominique Morisseau and directed by Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson has been extended by a week for a second time, the company announced today. The production, which opened on May 14, will now run through June 17, 2018.

First Run Features is proud to announce the Los Angeles premiere of Strangers on the Earth, directed by Tristan Cook, at Laemmle's Music Hall on June 1, 2018.  The film previously opened at New York's Cinema Village on May 4, 2018 to a great reception and has been held over until May 17, 2018.
