La Direccion General del Libro, Bibliotecas y Promocion de la Lectura presenta Frankenstein, 200 años, un ciclo que se llevara a cabo del miercoles 18 al viernes 20 de julio de 18 a 21 horas en la Biblioteca Casa de la Lectura (Lavalleja 924, Villa Crespo), con entrada gratuita. Escritores, academicos e intelectuales, analizan esta importante obra literaria de Mary Shelley, que influyo notablemente en el pensamiento de sociedades a traves de su literatura a lo largo de estos 200 años.

ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds today share their extraordinary performance of the song 'Distant Sky' from the forthcoming live EP 'Distant Sky – Live In Copenhagen'.  The EP is available for pre-order now and will be released on September 28th. The band were joined on the track by Danish soprano Else Torp.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce the fourth show in its 20th Anniversary Season ... Big Fish. Written by John August with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, directed by Oanh Nguyen, choreographed by Kelly Todd, and musically directed by Robyn Manion, Big Fish will preview from June 29 through July 6; regular performances will begin July 7 and continue through July 29 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

On July 20, 2018, Allentown Public Theatre (APT) will present to the public the world premiere of this original children's play, loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic story The Ugly Duckling. Developed in partnership with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, APT's Ugly Duckling explores themes of gender identity, self-expression and acceptance, as told through the metaphor of colors.

Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present Once Upon a Mattress, a musical comedy with music by Mary Rodgers, lyrics by Marshall Barer, and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer. It's an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea.

Ravinia Festival has announced casting for its July 28 production of Leonard Bernstein'sMass. Conductor Marin Alsop has resurrected this overlooked work with performances around the world. This production reunites her with director Kevin Newbury (who recently won raves for directing the opera Fellow Travelers and the spectaculars as New York's Park Avenue Armory) after earning a Grammy nomination for their recording of Mass, which the New York Times praised as 'one of the best events of the year.'
