'Possibility Junkie' is a new musical theater work by David Ippolito (music, lyrics, book) and directed by Gretchen Cryer ('I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road'), who co-authored the book. The story is based loosely on the career of David Ippolito, who is known to hundreds of thousands of people across the country and around the world as 'That Guitar Man from Central Park.' Part singer/songwriter, part storyteller, part social-commentator and humorist, Ippolito has become famous for his simple catch phrase, 'It's just us,' and his ability to turn a large crowd of strangers into a group of friends. Theater for the New City will present the world premiere tonight, September 28 to October 20, 2013.

Every year, Stoneham Theatre seeks out stories and shows that will entertain, amuse, and surprise audiences. 'We pride ourselves on our variety,' Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes shared. Hartford Stage announces the schedule for Fall Studio youth performance classes for 2013 including Anansi and the Moss-Covered Rock, The Environmental Show, and The One and Only Santa Claus. These classes are all taught my Hartford Stage's professional teaching artists, culminate in a final performance, and all classes take place at Classical Magnet School, 85 Woodland Street in Hartford.

Roundabout Theatre Company has officially announced that Oscar nominee Michelle Williams will star for the first time on Broadway as 'Sally Bowles' in its upcoming production of Cabaret. She will take the stage at Studio 54 alongside Alan Cumming as the Emcee, reprising the role that won him a Tony Award in 1998.

The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is pleased to announce the title of its 2013 holiday-themed comedy revue: 'I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus.' Previews for this, the BNW's 282nd production, will be November 7-14, and opening night will be Friday, November 15. 'I Saw Daddy Marry Santa Claus' runs through January 25, 2014. Moonlight Stage Productions' 33rd summer season continues with the Broadway hit YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, presented professionally for the first time in Southern California, with performances now through September 7. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, based on the hilarious 1974 film by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder that spoofed the horror film genre, opened on Broadway in 2007 and toured the U.S. in 2009.
