?Chief among the reasons why SCERA's holiday musical Liken's "The First Christmas" has sold out for the past several years is the presence of Daniel Beck, a vocalist so polished and powerful that it prompted celebrated choral director Craig Jessop to call him "Utah's answer to Josh Groban."
The WTG junior performers are proudly producing The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, a show that would put even Scrooge into the holiday spirit! An ensemble of eighteen children, aged 8-14, will present skits and musical numbers celebrating the winter holidays. The two act show features numbers by the Chipmunks, Heat Miser, Snow Miser, A Synchronized Swim Team, the Windham Frogs and much more. The show will also include a special guest appearance by Santa Claus.
When Christmas rolls around each year, Santa Claus begins making appearances everywhere. At one time, the only chance children had to talk to Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas was by visiting him at one of the local shopping malls. Today, Santa's schedule has him showing up in a lot more places as the demand for his time has increased over the years.
Pacific Symphony and Festival Ballet Theatre (FBT) entice audiences of all ages with the sweet melodies, magical celebration and excitement of one of Tchaikovsky's most famous ballets during the holiday concert, "Nutcracker for Kids," part of Family Musical Mornings presented by Farmers and Merchants Bank. Led by Assistant Conductor Alejandro Gutierrez, the orchestra shares the stage with the enchanted ballerinas from FBT, led by Artistic Director Salwa Rizkalla, who bring this beloved Christmas tale of the prince and Clara to life. The classic battle between the Mouse King and the Nutcracker has children on the edge of their seats as Tchaikovsky's memorable music, performed live, fills the air with wonder. Then the dancers twirl and glide across the stage to the renowned "Waltz of the Flowers" and the enchanting "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy." Created especially for children ages 5-11, this 45-minute version of the ballet is adapted by Bree Burgess Rosen, and features narrator Charlotte Rubino, age 11, making it perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

This perennial Christmas classic tells the story of a little old man named Kris Kringle, living in a retirement home, who gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers in the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa.
