Olivier nominee Michael Xavier, who played 'Gaylord Ravenal' in the original production, will not reprise his role, as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum.

Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces, due to popular demand, a one-week extension for his new production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's musical Show Boat. The production which opens on 16 December 2015, with previews from 10 December, will now run until 23 January 2016.

The Daily Mail writes that Donmar's artistic director Josie Rourke is in talks to transfer CITY OF ANGELS to the West End. Negotiations are in the early stages, so no word yet on a timeline or whether the original cast will travel with the show.
