Victory Gardens Theater announces its new Next Generation Fellowship program, made possible by a generous grant from The Field Foundation of Illinois.

The Third Annual Chicago Theater Bike Ride: Love Hard, a 501(c)(3) organization, will benefit The Actors Fund, a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment (www.actorsfund.org), and The Emergency Aid Fund, which has assisted community members with funeral and apartment fire expenses with proceeds from the first two Rides.

Belmont Ave. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is an added matinee performance Thursday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. NOTE: *There are no Thursday 7:30 p.m. performances February 9 and March 2. Tickets for previews are $38 and for the regular run $45 - $51. The dynamic actor, singer and dancer Andre De Shields opened last night at Chicago's Victory Gardens Theater (2433 N. Lincoln Avenue) in his own new play, CONFESSIONS OF A P.I.M.P., directed by Samuel G. Roberson and Dennis Zacek.

Victory Gardens Theater will host a special benefit performance of The House That Will Not Stand by Ensemble Playwright Marcus Gardley, directed by VG Artistic Director Chay Yew, in support of Congo Square Theatre's Artistic Director Sam G. Roberson, Jr. on June 18, 2016 at 7:30 pm. Victory Gardens will donate fifty percent of the proceeds from the performance to assist Roberson with housing, food and medical care as he waits for a heart and kidney transplant. The evening will include a pre-show reception starting at 6:30 pm to celebrate Sam followed by the performance at 7:30 pm.
