Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) is now accepting applications for Play Group, a vibrant and eclectic group of emerging writers who gather twice a month at Ars Nova to share new work and get peer feedback. The group offers members the chance to develop their plays with peer support; to be inspired by each other's work; to form collaborative relationships; and to build a strong sense of community within Ars Nova. All emerging playwrights are eligible for membership. If selected, new members will be invited to join for a period of two years beginning in January of 2014.

id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho for the 12th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, today, June 11 through June 23, sponsored by the Alpine Playhouse. Playwrights, actors and directors from around the country will travel to McCall and, working with local artists and students, develop ten new plays that will be presented to the public free of charge. The Camisade Theatre Company will present their inaugural theatrical production, the World Premiere of Derby Day, written by Samuel Brett Williams and directed by Michole Biancosino, starring Jared Culverhouse, Malcolm Madera, Jake Silbermann and Beth Wittig. Derby Day runs from November 30 to December 17, 2011 in a limited engagement at The Clurman Theatre, located in the Theatre Row Complex at 410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues in New York City. Previews begin November 30 for a December 1 opening.
