The entertainment industry turned out in force last night in support of Motion Picture & Television Fund's (MPTF) third annual 'Reel Stories, Real Lives' event

Todd Haimes and the entire Roundabout Theatre Company staff mourn the loss of an extraordinarily talented member of our family, James Rebhorn. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

New York Stage and Film's Annual Winter Galawas held last night, November 17, at The Plaza Hotel (770 Fifth Avenue, New York City), and honored Oscar nominated multi-hyphenate Stanley Tucci and business luminary Anne Tatlock. It is not difficult to see why The New York Times classifies James Rebhorn as a 'New York theatre stalwart.' His remarkably prolific career spans over thirty years across stage and screen. He can currently be seen on the Emmy Award-winning televisions series 'Homeland' portraying Frank Mathison. Recently, Rebhorn returned to the Roundabout stage for his fifth production, Too Much, Too Much, Too Many, marking more than a decade-long relationship with Roundabout Theatre Company.

Hear Music/Concord Music Group will release the all-star recording of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, a southern gothic supernatural musical from co-conspirators Stephen King, John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett. This extraordinary collaboration features original music and lyrics plus key dialog excerpts performed by a stellar cast of guest artists including Elvis Costello, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Neko Case, Taj Mahal, Ryan Bingham and Kris Kristofferson, along with actors Matthew McConaughey, Samantha Mathis and Meg Ryan. This special release also includes the musical's complete libretto, penned by Stephen King. A haunting tale of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge 13 years in the making, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County will be released in the Spring 2013.

The Brooke Jackman Foundation and actors from the Screen Actors Guild Foundation BookPALS program just visited PS362 in the Far Rockaways. The SAG Foundation actors, including film star Samatha Mathis from the movies Little Women, Broken Arrow and How to Make an American Quilt, performed a dramatic reading of favorite children's books while wearing hilarious holiday hats, then distributed Brooke Packs -- backpacks full of books and school supplies -- to the 200 children in attendance. Other actors from the SAG Foundation's BookPALs children's literacy program included Broadway legend Kimilee Bryant from Phantom of the Opera, Dana Marie Ingraham from Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, Dionne Figgins from Motown: The Musical, and others. PS362, where the performance occurred, has just reopened after damage from Sandy.

Sir Howard's interview, reflecting on Ephron's acclaimed career will air tonight, Tuesday, December 18 as part of SMC's special double-feature tribute to Ephron, presenting her first and last directing efforts, 1992's THIS IS MY LIFE (starring Julie Kavner ) at 8:00 PM E/5:00 PM P and 2009's JULIE & JULIA (starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams ) at 10:00 PM E/7:00 PM P.

According to the AV Club, John Mellencamp and Stephen King's musical Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County will release its official soundtrack on March 19, 2013, prior to beginning performances next year.
