Onstage seating for the West End transfer of Claire van Kampen's critically-acclaimed new play Farinelli and the King, starring Mark Rylance, will be released to the general public on Friday 5th June at 10am. Additionally, further seats will be released for all performances, including accessibly priced £10 tickets located in all parts of the house.

Alex Turner Productions today announces the full cast for the UK premiere of Tennessee Williams' One Arm adapted for the stage by Moises Kaufman. Josh Seymour directs Joe Jameson (The Divinity Student), Georgia Kerr (The Girl in the French Quarter), Peter Hannah (The Guard), James Tucker (Lester) and Tom Varey (Ollie Olsen). The company members play multiple roles around the central character of Ollie Olsen - characters weaving through the complex tapestry of his life. Shakespeare's Globe today announces Emma Rice as its new Artistic Director. In April 2016, Emma will take over from Dominic Dromgoole, who will complete the recently opened Summer season and one more Winter season in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, departing once the Globe to Globe Hamlet tour completes its two-year adventure next April.

Sam Crane will once again play the acting role of Farinelli, while the singing role will be reprised by opera star, Iestyn Davies and shared withRupert Enticknap. The rest of the cast will also transfer with Huss Garbiya playing Doctor Jose Cervi, Melody Grove playing Isabella Farnese, Colin Hurley as Metastasio and Edward Peel as De la Cuadra.

According to the Daily Mail, Mark Rylance is bringing FARINELLI AND THE KING, which ends its run at Shakespeare's Globe this weekend, to the West End. The production will begin at the Duke of York's Theatre in September.

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), in conjunction with British original pronunciation (OP) experts, the father and son team of David and Ben Crystal, will open its 2015 season with a historic production of The Merchant of Venice. Ben Crystal will also visit the company twice during the rehearsal process, including the final rehearsals during the week before opening night. Presenting A Merchant of Venice in OP fits perfectly with BSF's overall philosophy of recreating the staging conditions that existed in Shakespeare's day.
