Julie & Julia is the new comedy-drama, written and directed by Nora Ephron, depicting events in the life of famed chef Julia Child. Ephron's screenplay is adapted from two books: My Life in France, Child's autobiography, written with Alex Prud'homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell. Variety reports that Ron Howard's 'Frost/Nixon' won best-feature honors at the Las Vegas Film Critics Society's Sierra Awards. 'Frost/Nixon' star Frank Langella earned two trophies, winning for best actor and the William Holden Lifetime Achievement Award.
Variety is reporting that 'Frost/Nixon' playwright and screenwriter Peter Morgan is set to make his directorial debut on a film that would be the third movie in the Tony Blair trilogy launched in 2003 by Stephen Frears' British TV movie 'The Deal' and followed by 'The Queen.'

Liberation Entertainment has concluded a deal with Sir David Frost and his production company, David Paradine Television Inc, to secure the North American distribution rights to the entire broadcast footage of the historical Frost Nixon TV interviews from 1977. These interviews drew the largest audience ever for a news interview in the history of television.
The International Press Academy has announced the nominees for the 13th Annual Satellite Awards. The Satellite Awards are an annual award given by the International Press Academy. The awards were originally known as the Golden Satellite Awards.
The awards, given by the Intl. Press Academy, will take place Dec. 14 at Century City's InterContinental Hotel.
Oscar-winning director Ron Howard brings to the screen writer Peter Morgan's (The Queen, The Last King of Scotland) electrifying battle between Richard Nixon, the disgraced president with a legacy to save, and David Frost, a jet-setting television personality with a name to make, in the untold story of the historic encounter that changed both: Frost/Nixon. Reprising their roles from Morgan's stageplay are Frank Langella, who won a Tony for his portrayal of Nixon, and Michael Sheen, who fully inhabited the part of Frost onstage in London and New York. The film opens in selected cities 12/5 and 12/12 with a nationwide release on Christmas Day.
