Las Vegas' only show with a Splatter Zone is stepping up its game for the Halloween season, and is celebrating the season with 'Halloweek' now through Saturday November 1st.

Asylum & Hotel Fear, one of the area's most popular haunted house attractions, has invited EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL to bring its brand of entertainment and insanity to the seasonal attraction.

EVIL DEAD is a large campy affair. After all, the musical borrows its story, characters and general demeanor from a B-film franchise. Intentionally cheesy and over-the-top funny, it relies heavily on self-referential humor and pop culture references.

Some people are into the superstition and it's bad luck to say the title, but to me, it's just a frickin' word. It's funny to me.

According to reports, Sam Raimi is in talks to direct the film adaptation of Matthew Quick's upcoming novel 'Love May Fail', a novel by Silver Linings Playbook author Matthew Quick.

Geva Theatre Center presents Good People - the Broadway comedy-drama about culture, class and luck by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Mark Cuddy. Good People begins performances October 21, opens October 25 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through November 16.

I was absolutely blown away with just how much I loved this show...and it wasn't just because of the memorable one-liners that the audience all waited for with baited breath. In this comedic take on the 1980s horror franchise, characters and demons sing and dance to catchy songs written specifically for the musical. And, as in the films, Ash is there to dish out his various one-liners and fight the never-ending demons. This was seriously one of the best nights of theatre I've experienced in Austin.
