FOX is announcing 2011-2012 midseason premiere dates for new and returning series, including the return of AMERICAN IDOL; the debuts of new dramas TOUCH, ALCATRAZ and THE FINDER; and the launch of new animated series NAPOLEON DYNAMITE.

ALCATRAZ is premiering on FOX on Monday, January 16, 2012. From executive producer J.J. Abrams (FRINGE, 'Lost,' 'Star Trek,' 'Super 8' and the upcoming 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol') and writer Elizabeth Sarnoff ('Lost,' 'Deadwood') comes ALCATRAZ, a chilling new drama revolving around America's most infamous prison, the one-time home to the nation's worst murderers, rapists, kidnappers, thieves and arsonists.

As first reported on TVGuide.com, Michael Eklund, star of 'Fringe' and 'Smallville's' Eric Johnson are set to guest star on Fox's new drama series ALCATRAZ. Both actors will play prisonors who have recently escaped from the famed San Francisco prison.

Leading independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) has joined forces with the dynamic and innovative team of Paul WS Anderson and Jeremy Bolt to develop a new one-hour psychological thriller series for television, THE REEL. The series spec was brought to eOne by talented first-time writer, Adam D'Alba.

THE VOW is coming to theaters on February 10, 2012. The romantic drama is directed by Michael Sucsy and stars Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, Sam Neill, Scott Speedman, Jessica Lange, Lucas Bryant, Kristina Pesic, Rachel Skarsten, Brittney Irvin, Dillon Casey, Tatiana Maslany, Jeananne Goossen, Johnny Larocque, Jessica McNamee, Kim Roberts, Joe Cobden, Lindsay Ames, Joey Klein and Shannon Edwards.

Playful Productions and Michael Alden Productions have announced that the world premier production of the original play of The King's Speech by David Seidler will be brought to the stage next year in a production directed by Adrian Noble.
