Carly Hughes, who most recently appeared on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will join the Tony Award winning production of PIPPIN in the role of 'Leading Player' beginning Friday, September 19.

Yesterday, Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN welcomed back Andrea Martin, who won 2013 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for creating the role of 'Berthe' in the production - in celebration, a new portrait of Martin was added to Tony di Napoli's prestigious Broadway Wall of Fame! The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts), the non-profit organization that contributes to the cultural vitality of the nation by supporting the artistic development of talented young artists, today announces YoungArts Awareness Day, a nationwide initiative to "keep arts alive" on Monday, September 8. Encouraging everyone who has a creative instinct to take part, YoungArts Awareness Day will feature pop-up performances and events in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City and invites artists across the country to create and share their own work, or their artistic experiences at museums and concerts via social media with the tags #keepartsalive, #youngarts and #youngartsawarenessday.

Annie Potts will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, July 20. Tony Award winner John Rubinstein, who created the role of Pippin in the original 1972 production, will extend his run in the show as “Charles” through Sunday, August 17.
