The Denver Center Theatre Company opens the 2009 2010 Season with two classic dramas - one with special relevancy to the nation's current economic crisis in David Mamet's adaptation of The Voysey Inheritance by Harley Granville-Barker and one celebrating the bruised but undaunted search for the American dream in Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun.

This spring, the Denver Center Theatre Company will complete an extraordinary journey through the decades of the Twentieth Century with director Israel Hicks and August Wilson's Radio Golf, remember the story of faith in a stage adaptation of John Irving's sweeping novel in A Prayer for Owen Meany, and laugh with the Serrano family in the world premiere of Sunsets and Margaritas.

The Denver Center Theatre Company has announced casting for the 2009 Colorado New Play Summit readings, which includes top talent from Denver and across the country. The Summit, which will gather theatre enthusiasts and industry professionals in Denver February 12-14, will feature the reading of a new adaptation of the classic musical THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN and readings of four new plays - EVENTIDE, WHEN TANG MET LAIKA, TAKE ME TO THE RIVER and FLOODED. The Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival (June Lindenmayer, Executive Director; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director) has announced the casting for the 2008 summer season of music, dance and theatre at the venerable performing arts camp and school in Steamboat Springs, CO. The 11th Annual New Works Festival begins workshops and classes June 11th, culminating June 20 - 22 with staged readings of the plays and a special dance presentation.
